History of the Company

The original company in the group, Biodeg (formulations) Ltd., was established in October 1983 in a tiny 2,000 square feet unit in Edwards Lane close to our current site.

Over the years additional premises were added and in August 1989 Biodeg Chemical Co. Ltd. was formed to manufacture speciality chemicals.

Strong growth was maintained through the 80's and early 90's until in 1991 it was decided that larger premises were again necessary and the current one-hectare site was purchased.

The refurbishment of the site is now well underway and the Company is again poised for strong growth.

What We Do

Our key business is contact manufacture and is generally divided into two main areas:

• Contract manufacure of small lot or 'nuisance' production for major chemical companies throughout Europe;

• Repackaging, blending or other manipulation of product for companies who are strong in sales and marketing but who have limited or no manufacturing presence in the UK.
